Second LST Team

Hey, all! Sorry it's taken me so long to update. Things have been busy around here, that's for sure! Julie and Sherri did a great job in the four weeks that they were here and I think they had a good time as well. We had around 20-30 people at each of the parties, with good attendance from our church as well, which is just what we want so that the readers can get to know some of the church members and hopefully feel welcome to visit one of our cell groups or our celebration on Sundays. I'll include some pictures at the bottom from one of the parties. The theme of that party was 'Winter Fun' so they made paper snowflakes and drank hot chocolate.
I was also busy the last week that Julie and Sherri were here with a visit from my parents. This is the first time that they've both been here at the same time in two and a half years! It was SO WONDERFUL to have them here. They are such a blessing and encouragement not only to me, but to the members here. They decided to invite the leaders over for a dinner one night to share with them and to pray over them. It was a very special night for all involved! It's so amazing for me to see these people be blessed by the people that have been some of the biggest blessings in my life.

Julie and Sherri left on July 7th and the second two-week LST team arrived on July 9th. This group of three ladies are amazing! Their names are Mary Gomez, Janie Chambliss and Dian Rhodes. They are all from Richland Hills and it's been so great for them to get to learn about the work here and get to know the people. They've been amazingly flexible and quite brave to get out and explore the city on their own. We're sad that they'll only get to be here one more week!

Please lift up our final LST party and summer convivio this Thursday, July 19th. We are having it in the place where we meet on Sundays so that the readers will know where to find us. Several of the readers have expressed interest in studying more and we are excited about the new contacts. Please pray that the word of God that they have read will penetrate their hearts.
Thanks for sticking around, even when I don't update enough!
